An Update for Custom Alarm Customers

As our communities continue to feel the increased impact of COVID-19, Custom Alarm has taken steps to ensure we continue providing the peace-of-mind security our customers expect.

Our customers depend on us to help protect property and save lives. We recognize the critical importance of remaining operational throughout this unprecedented event. Our top priority is keeping our 24/7 Monitoring Response Center fully operational with appropriate staffing to ensure we continue protecting our customers.

24/7 Monitoring, Service and Installation

We are considered “critical infrastructure” which means our in-house UL and Five Diamond Certified Monitoring Center will continue to operate 24/7 and you will not see any interruption to your monitoring service.

Service, Installation and Sales Personnel

  • We are currently still able to perform service and installation work.
  • Our sales team is available to assist anyone with additional security/safety needs and we are still taking calls, online requests and Live Chats on our website.
  • Our technicians are continuing to work on installations and service tickets. If for any reason a customer decides to close their facility or doesn’t want anyone in their home or office that has a scheduled appointment they want to postpone, please call us at 507-288-5522 or email us at info@custom-alarm.com.

A reminder of the steps we are taking to ensure our customers and employees remain protected during this unprecedented time.

Health & Safety

We are taking the necessary precautions to make sure our employees are healthy and safe:

  • We have instructed anyone who is not feeling well to stay home.
  • We have heightened our cleaning and disinfecting procedures for all team members.
  • We are practicing social distancing in all of our interactions with one another and with our customers.
  • We are requiring all staff to wear masks at customer sites and around the office. 
  • We are no longer shaking hands and avoiding face-to-face meetings with customers when possible.
  • Technicians are washing hands or using hand sanitizer before and after leaving every customer site along with wiping down vehicles.
  • We have encouraged all staff to limit their time in the office by telecommuting as much as possible.

Custom Alarm will continue to follow the local officials and CDC guidelines and are prepared to respond promptly as the situation changes.
