Every home is required to have a certain number of smoke detectors, but these detectors are not monitored by a third party. The purpose of these detectors is to notify those inside to get out, but the fire department is not notified. When you have smoke detectors installed by Custom Alarm those detectors are monitored by us. A monitored smoke detector automatically sends a signal to our Central Monitoring Station that in turn dispatches the fire department. This is all within a matter of seconds. Heat detectors are also important devices used to detect a rapid rise in heat. These devices are ideal for harsh conditions such as garages, furnace rooms and even kitchens. Fire alarm devices can be installed and integrated into an existing monitored security system with relative ease. There are hard-wired and wireless options available, both equally reliable. This provides an existing homeowner with the same options as a new homeowner moving in to a newly built home.

We also offer Carbon Monoxide (CO) monitoring. You can’t see or smell carbon monoxide, but at high levels it can kill a person in minutes. Carbon monoxide (CO) is produced whenever any fuel such as gas, oil, kerosene, wood, or charcoal is burned. If appliances that burn fuel are maintained and used properly, the amount of CO produced is usually not hazardous.
